How to make fat loss easier

If fat loss was easy everybody would be lean and toned any day of the year. It doesn’t happen like that because there are too many complicated functions that need to be perfectly aligned. The key to fat loss is very simple though; eat clean (organic and grass-fed meats as much as possible), exercise and restore hormonal balance.

In my opinion most people would benefit from a diet lower in carbs and higher in fat and that’s for two reasons 1) most people eat too little vegetables and too much processed and simple carb foods 2) fat is not your enemy and you need fat for energy and metabolic functions (i.e absorption of fat soluble vitamins A, D, E, K).

Hormonal balance is a little trickier to fix as it can be caused by inflammation (i.e gluten intolerance), excess insulin, depression, toxic estrogen (Check out this shocking news video from MSNBC about estrogen mimicking hormones), stress, and low testosterone levels among other things. Ultimately, it will come down to your diet to restore the hormonal balance and get fat loss back on track.

My personal fat loss struggle has taught me this: Eat more vegetables, fats and moderate amounts of protein (remove any possible inflammation causing foods for at least 30 days before reintroducing to see what’s up). Exercise with heavy weights and intensity (this will rack up testosterone production). Get enough sleep, stress less by learning some stress management techniques (breathing, do some yoga, go for a walk etc) and stay hydrated.
